I don't like nail polish (except the clear ones, I like them because my nails are weak, and they curve your nails so that they look pretty!) but today, I suddenly had an urge to... <<< This is the cover of Volume 2 that I will start scanlating on the first week of March (since the last week of February will be hectic - two essays and a presentation... @#*$^@#... I should get started on them... @.@;;) I hope you like the manhwa so far, and just to clear something up; Yui and Liam are only bromancing (although it's a bit extreme sometimes!) Regarding the doujinshi, I promised to finish two parts for this week - and although late, I do plan to keep that promise~ I ran into a bit of a problem with the plotline and had to go over it with my editor, but it's cleared up now :D I'm also wondering if I should 'cut up' the long strips and make them viewable as flippable pages as an option - although I'm not sure if it'll be worth the effort (is scrolling inconvenient?) I started listening to Witch Hunter Robin's Opening/Ending songs and Rakuen by DAI - my sister played the guitar while I sang to it for the whole day, so much nostalgia!!!
It's really too bad that Valentine's Day is smack in the middle of midterms :crocodiletears: =w= b Single or not, I hope everyone indulged themselves in some sort of treat - or still struggling with the last midterms/essays before reading week like I am (I'm not sure how much coffee I've consumed, but I'm pretty sure staying up three nights in a row isn't healthy...) I'll probably be knocked out tomorrow night and sleep for 12+ hours tomorrow, although I feel so energetic and... a bit twitchy... hehe >.> <.<;; In other news, I've updated 10 pages of scanlation pages - I'll make up for the deficit during reading week, I promise!!! (If I don't get too lazy, it's likely that Volume I will be finished within next week!!) :D
Yes, it's midterm week - and needless to say, I'll be swamped with tests, essays and assignments. I apologize that I will not be able to release the doujinshi today, especially as it's something that shouldn't be rushed, and requires a lot of time to finish (~5+ hours) but the scanlations will still be posted in time :) And do not fret!! I'll release TWO doujinshis next week, because next week is reading week!!! *throws confetti* (perhaps even three parts, we'll see~) For any other students out there, best of luck during midterms! Hwaiting!! :D A high-energy-dense cheeseburger with bacon = 600 calories = soup, sandwich, fresh fruits and vegetables. Just because you're consuming less calories, doesn't mean you have to eat less - it's important to check the calorie value of the food before purchasing it, especially when you're eating out! When I found out that the food that I've been regularly eating at school was high in calories, I simply looked for an alternative. Here are some examples: Before: - Small Poutine (~700 calories) - Small Pastries (~200 calories each) - Tall Calories in Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino (420 calories) - Hot dog (~300 calories) Now: - Salad [be creative: fruit salad/pasta salad, etc - avoid potato salad though!!] + low-calorie salad dressing [ex. vinaigrette] (~100 calories) - Pasta [avoiding creamy sauces - ex. olive oil & touch of butter] (150 to 200 calories) - Tall green tea with non-fat milk + tablespoon of sugar (50 calories) Since my daily calorie limit is ~1,100 calories, every 100 calorie makes a huge difference. Even adding a simple egg to a meal would be an extra 100 calories - memorize the rough calorie estimates of the food you regularly eat and avoid/replace them accordingy (don't overestimate yourself though, replace them with foods that you can commit to for a long time! I tried snacking on just celery, carrots, etc... didn't last after the first few bites) ^.^;; I know that this is a bad influence, but... I must admit that I have not 'exercised' at all during my calorie diet (unless walking around the campus counts...)- hopefully it will motivate similar *cough*lazy bums*cough* out there like myself... (I still encourage exercise! /hides) The calorie diet is probably ancient news by now, but since it's the only diet that's really worked for me - I'd like to share my progresses, advice and tips! Unlike most other diets that I've went through, I like that I'm not restricted to a few options on the menu - and it's more than just a temporary diet! It's so healthy in a non-stressful way, especially when it becomes a life habit :) I will first introduce the two main phone applications that I'm using: "Libra" and "Lose It!" - "Libra" is not a necessity, but it really helps with calculating weight gain/loss trend variations, as well as keep a year-long track of your progress! Here are the most recent photo-screenshots of both applications: ("Libra" on the left, "Lose It!" on the right) In the Libra, each 'unit' on the x-axis represents the month - so you can see that I was doing VERY well until winter break & Christmas hit near the beginning of december, then another combo breaker thanks to my birthday at the end of January. I think I've had... 5 birthday dinners every other day for two weeks; today was the last one! Now I'll be getting back on track :)
On the right, it shows my calorie budget, and the calories for individual food that I ate for the day. Once you get the application, the first thing you should do is insert all your data in the 'goals' (into 'modify program') and 'more' section at the top - your calorie budget will depend on your age, height, and how much you want to lose per week (I really recommend starting at 1 pound/week, maximum 1 1/2 pound/week!) If you stay committed, even for a full week - you'll start to see some of the foods you regularly eat in calorie values! After you know which foods to avoid, and which foods are 'effective' in your diet (lots of quality, but little intake of calories) - you won't even notice that you're losing weight :) (unless you're already pretty small in figure) I don't want to overload you with information, so I'll clear things up on the way with advice/tips now and then - give it a try, and feel free to ask any questions! :) |
